Observation Report on Intern student's One-Week Internship at Cangzhou Jinbo Sports Co., Ltd.
This week, we were pleased to host intern student for a one-week internship at our company. Although brief, the program was substantial.
From theoretical learning to practical application, we observed the intern's active engagement and significant progress.
Day 1: Introduction to Product Knowledge
We began the intern's training with our best-selling product—swimming caps. Moving beyond textbook descriptions, we guided the intern
to experience the differences in materials firsthand:
• The slightly rough texture of 100% polyester swimming caps
• The smoothness and high elasticity of Lycra swimming caps (85% polyester + 15% spandex)
• The PU-coated swimming caps (an upgraded version of fabric caps, featuring a PU outer layer and a polyester-spandex inner lining)
We also introduced various silicone cap series (standard, inner granule, bubble, ear-protecting, droplet, and patterned), establishing
a foundational understanding of our products.
Days 2-4: Honing Practical Skills – Cold Email Drafting
This phase focused on core foreign trade communication skills. We first instructed the intern to use AI tools to search for cold email
examples targeting polyester swimming caps and extract key structural elements, including:
• Subject Line: Crucial for attracting opens
• Body: Covering company basics (name, founding year, location, contact), core strengths, service commitments, website link, pricing
advantages, and global experience
• Closing: Expressing cooperation intent and good wishes
After translating these into English, we provided the company's standard cold email template. The intern was then tasked with filling
the template with specific content during practical exercises, aimed at enhancing professional business writing skills.
Final Day: Deepening Understanding through Factory Practice
On the last day, we arranged for the intern to step out of the office and visit the production floor for firsthand observation. This proved to
be the most valuable part of the internship. The intern:
• Observed the full swim cap production process: raw material storage, cutting, sewing
• Witnessed towel assembly and packaging workflows
• Personally participated in towel assembly and packaging
These tasks, while seemingly simple, required patience and meticulousness. After half a day's work, the intern openly expressed
feeling fatigued. This resonated with General Manager Jin's often-stated principle: "Only by immersing oneself in the
manufacturing process can one truly understand the product." We were pleased to see the intern deeply grasp this concept
through direct experience—thorough product knowledge is fundamental to identifying customer pain points and building trust.
Superficial understanding rarely convinces clients.
Summary:
Through this intensive and diverse week (theory, skill-building, factory practice), we observed that intern [Intern's Name]:
• Enriched professional knowledge
• Improved practical skills (especially in trade communication and product understanding)
• Most importantly, significantly broadened their perspective, gaining concrete and deeper insights into the sporting goods industry.
This internship experience has laid a solid and concrete foundation for their personal career development. We look forward to
seeing these gains contribute to their future growth.
